In the build-up to the 2020 NFL season, the Dak Prescott-led Dallas Cowboys were tipped to make the Playoffs with comfortable ease.

On paper, the Cowboys definitely boasted one of the best overall rosters across the league. However, multiple injury struggles have condemned Head Coach Mike McCarthy to a tough start in Texas.

Star quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending double compound fracture on his right ankle in Week 5. Things have gone from bad to worse since then.

Popular Dallas Cowboys correspondent Mike Fisher spoke to Sports Illustrated’s Bri Amaranthus earlier today. Fisher responded to questions regarding the immediate future of head coach Mike McCarthy.

“Yeah, it’s a fair question and I think Jerry and Stephen have shot it down by saying, ‘No, no, that’s our guy’. There’s light at the end of the tunnel.

“Look at how the defense now is starting to plug in to what they’ve been trying to teach em…we tried to install a brand new defense over a ‘Zoom call’.

“That’s unprecedented, it’ll never happen again, but yeah, there’s no hot seat here for Mike McCarthy,” Fisher said earlier today.

The Cowboys are currently sitting at the bottom of the NFC East Division table. They are winless in their last 4 outings in the league. The Texas-based franchise will go up against NFC North big boys Minnesota Vikings in Week 11.
