The Baltimore Ravens are 3-2 with backup QB Tyler Huntley after Lamar Jackson entered the IR with a knee injury in the Denver Broncos game in Week 13 this season. And there’s no good news yet for Action Jackson fans. Ravens HC John Harbaugh has announced his quarterback choice for their final regular season fixture this week.
And Lamar Jackson is not it. The Heisman Trophy winner will miss the Ravens’ clash against the Cincinnati Bengals. And with all the added complications around the game, Lamar’s absence will hit the Ravens. The Bengals have already won the AFC North irrespective of the outcome of the game. And a lot rests on the outcome for Baltimore.

What is Lamar Jackson’s injury update?
The Ravens QB hurt his knee against the Broncos. According to Adam Schefter’s report on Twitter, Lamar Jackson sprained his posterior cruciate ligament (PCL). Typically, a PCL injury can sideline players for one to three weeks. However, it looks like Jackson’s case is a bit more serious than the average sample.
“When we have an update, you’ll have it. Lamar’s working as hard as he can. The trainers are working as hard as they can. Can’t wait to have him back. That’s where we’re at. He won’t be playing in this game, but we’re hopeful for next week,” Coach Harbaugh said in the official press meet before the Bengals game. Some fans thought there were more than just injury reasons.
"Lamar's working as hard as he can. The trainers are working as hard as they can… That's where we're at. He won't be playing in this game, we're hopeful for next week."

I miss seeing Lamar play just as much as the next gal. He shouldn't risk further injury. Especially without guaranteed $$.

Lamar Jackson didn’t get the max-contract extension he was expecting from the Ravens. And fans thought that this long hiatus from the game could have its roots planted there.
Why is Lamar Jackson extra important for the Bengals game?
Through unforeseen things happening, the Baltimore Ravens have a shot at hosting an AFC Playoff game. However, a win against the Cincinnati Bengals in their crucial divisional matchup is imperative for that to happen. And it’s still left to chance.

Even without Lamar, the Ravens won the Week 13 game against the Broncos 10-9 after a last-minute connect by backup QB Tyler Huntley. However, Lamar has 2224 passing yards in 12 games this season along with 764 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. And surely, the Ravens will miss their action man tomorrow. Baltimore beat Cincinnati once this season. And they will be looking for the repeat with or without Lamar Jackson.
