Sportscaster Al Michaels has been treated to some severely lacking football performances lately. His name has been making the rounds on Twitter because of certain lines during games that are concerning and entertaining fans at the same time.

Among the sub-par games, which Michaels has had to call after leaving NBC for Amazon Prime Video so far, is the miserable Broncos-Colts game where both teams failed to score a touchdown. Having to witness these games seems to be a torturous experience.

Michaels was pretty upfront about what he felt. The sportscaster made a rather candid statement.

Pro Football Talk’s managing editor Michael David Smith said, “I think Al Michaels is the best play-by-play announcer in the history of TV sports, and I’ve always liked Kirk Herbstreit on college games, but these Amazon broadcasts just haven’t been very good. (Obviously doesn’t help that the Thursday night games haven’t been very good.)”

Fans on Twitter did not fail to notice what was going on. This user thinks Michaels has seen enough.

Michaels takes a shot at Mayfield

Most recently the Panthers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 25-15 in a Thursday Night Game. Baker Mayfield, who sat out of the game, was seen giving his teammates celebratory headbutts without his helmet after the game.
Seeing this, Michaels quipped that it was a good way to wind up in concussion protocol even while not being on the field.

While Michaels sits through mediocre football games, the NFL World is being treated to some dry, savage, and sometimes funny commentary and fans online are all for it.
