This offseason has been wild already, but who knew that some fans would resort to sending death threats and racial slurs? The San Francisco 49ers receiver posted a video saying that he is not bothered by some fans sending him these kinds of messages.
Fans threatening Deebo Samuel over his 49ers contract situation
Earlier this month, the star wide receiver unfollowed the San Francisco 49ers from all of his social media. The fans assumed that Deebo Samuel is on a move out of the Bay Area. And it seems like some people did not take it well.
The athlete is entering his fourth and last year of the rookie contract with the Niners. Many assumed that Samuel removed the team from his social media to make some negotiations. The receiver market has been busy this offseason. Some pretty huge deals have already taken place. So it was only natural that Samuel would ask for a handsome raise as well.

Deebo recently posted a video addressing some inappropriate DMs that he has been getting from some fans. He said, “Hey for all y’all fans that are in the DMs, death threats and racial stuff. That don’t bother me, bro.” Samuel adds, “Y’all the same ones that was just hoorah-ing and ‘Go Deebo,’ and now y’all want to send death threats and send all these racial — all this stuff you got. It don’t bother me, bro. I’m cool, I’m chilling, I’m happy.” It is good to know that Samuel is not bothered by the hate.
NFL fans react to those “fans” sending hateful messages to Samuel
Some true fans stand on the right side of the fence and call out the haters. One fan asks everyone to be the gold standard of sports fans.
Nfl fans, we have to be better. Be the gold standard of sports fans.
Im not a SF fan, & Deebo did help to beat me in the fantasy football finals this year… but who cares, it’s just a game.
Relax a little, and remember to have fun as fans. Too many fans forgot about fun

This unfortunate situation makes this fan sick to his stomach.
Finding out that 49er fans are sending death threats/racist DMs to star wide receiver Deebo Samuel while he negotiates a new contract with the team makes me fuckin sick to my stomach.
Those fans are complete pieces of shit and I wish they’d find another team.

Jordan Schultz, analyst and host of the Pop Up Podcast, calls the haters “Fake a** fans.”
You a fake a** “fan” for calling out Deebo Samuel. This a grown man looking out for his family — who’s put in more work/time into his craft than you can even imagine. Racist notes and death threats? Are you kidding me? Complete 🗑 and a huge L. Deebo doesn’t owe anyone anything!

A Twitter account by the name of Evan Sowards believes that this kind of person does not deserve to be called a fan.
If someone is legit sending Deebo Samuel death threats we gotta stop calling that type of person a “fan”. That’s a highly emotionally and rationally disturbed individual that needs to be contacted by the police

Being a fan, one should realize their boundaries. The athletes are humans too. Sending them death threats and racist messages is not the way to behave. Such comments do not bother Deebo Samuel, and there are people still supporting him.
