Anderson is known for his speed and deep reception play. He averaged 14 yards per catch in four of the last six seasons. The wide receiver also has caught at least one 50+ yard receiver every season he has been in the NFL. All in all, the Cardinals are getting a good deal. They traded off a 2024 sixth round draft pick and a 2025 seventh-round draft pick to the Panthers in order to acquire Anderson. But why did the Panthers want to get rid of him?

The Panthers were playing against the Los Angeles Rams when a heated exchange of words ensued between Robbie Anderson and the Panthers’ position coach Joe Dailey.
The shouting match between the two started in the first half and carried on and off till the third quarter. It got so tense that the wide receiver was seen sitting on a cooler while the rest of the offensive line strategized in the third quarter. Things got heated again late in the third quarter as another shouting ensued between the two. Head coach Wilks had to step in to calm things down. Wilks sent Anderson to the locker room after that. The Panthers lost the game 24-10.
Anderson said he was confused as to the reason Wilks sent him to the locker room. Wilks, on the other hand, said nobody was bigger than the team.
