The new NFL season took flight with the Bills and Rams squaring off. Surprisingly, the defending champions did not stand a chance against the underdogs when the Buffalo flock slid with the win. LA’s mediocre performance began new heat among the analysts who blamed Matthew Stafford for the loss. But when Richard Sherman threw some shade, Dan Orlovsky came in for some defense, beginning an internet feud.

TNF analyst Richard Sherman, who competed with Tom Brady, made some comments about Matthew Stafford’s in-game production. He then responded to a tweet from QB-turned-analyst Dan Orlovsky, over the QB’s throw that resulted in an interception by Bills’ Dane Jackson. They exchanged back-and-forth remarks which led to some banter over Twitter.
In response to Orlovsky, Richard Sherman responded, “Stafford being stafford,” to which Orlovsky responded, “Sherm we don’t have to start 2022 like this champ cmon lol.” Independent reporter Dove Kleiman shared a screenshot of the back and forth on Twitter.

Dan Orlovsky subsequently highlighted that Matthew Stafford had tremendous playoff statistics. But it did not satisfy the Ex-NFL CB. Eventually, both of them ended the conversation in a courteous tone. Sherman, as an analyst, would offer some fantastic amusement in Thursday Night Games.
Stafford’s performance on Thursday was tough to uphold. He averaged 5.9 yards per pass attempt and threw three interceptions. He was also sacked seven times, twice by an old teammate, Von Miller. The Bills defeated the Rams 31-10. Safe to say, it was a night to forget for the Rams QB. It’s fair to assume that the Rams quarterback had a night to forget.
Was Matthew Stafford dealing with some injury-related concerns?

Matthew Stafford did not enjoy a solid beginning to the season. However, his arm-related tension might be the reason for the underwhelming performance. The quarterback had been dealing with elbow soreness in his throwing shoulder since the offseason last year. However, Stafford believes he is play-ready and has ‘no limitations’ despite the problems. It will not stop him from fighting this year.
Rams QB Matthew Stafford underwent an off-season elbow procedure to deal with the pain he experienced last season and to help prepare for this season, per sources. Despite the questions about his elbow, Stafford is now said to feel better today than he did at this time last year.

Stafford’s arm remains among the league’s most important questions. The LA Rams have a legitimate chance to defend the title, and the franchise needs its bedrock to be in a strong position. The franchise’s upcoming performance would now determine the QB’s credibility and their chances to make another Lombardi chase.
