Patrick Mahomes is having a decent season. With an offense that looks stable, the quarterback’s performance has resulted in the Chiefs being at a comfortable 5-2 atop the AFC West.
However former quarterback Robert Griffin III thinks that Mahomes misses former Chiefs and current Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Both players still share a special connection. When asked about the Chiefs’ victory against the Bucks, Hill had nothing but good things to say about Mahomes.
Does Patrick Mahomes need Tyreek Hill?
Robert Griffin III, in this tweet, seems to believe that Patrick Mahomes misses Tyreek Hill.
Patrick Mahomes has proven that he doesn’t NEED Tyreek Hill to play at an extremely high level. But to say he doesn’t MISS the NFL leader in receiving yards at all is blasphemous.

The Chiefs’ most recent game against the 49ers saw them put some big points on the board.
While this is not unusual, Mahomes spread the field among different receivers. This is unlike most games in the past where the spotlight was on Travis Kelce.
Fans react to the veteran’s statement on Mahomes
While some Chiefs fans seem to be vexed by the constant talk of their former wide receiver, others still miss the magic he created within the team.
This fan says that the quarterback and wide receiver make a dynamic duo.
this is the point. there is no argument. tyreek is the best wr in the nfl arguably. and patrick the best qb. they both dont NEED eachother. they are both great without eachother. but together they make a dynamic fire duo. period. nothing more to be said!!!

Another fan misses the Tyreek era.
I miss Tyreek every single day as a Chiefs fan. I still watch his Chiefs YT highlights. ☹️

This fan sent out a cryptic statement.
Who will ended up missing the other more when all is said and done?

This fan asks why would the chiefs miss the receiver with a good offense.
Why would the Chiefs miss him when they still have the highest scoring offense in the league?

This fan is sick of listening to this narrative.
I just wish they'd stop bringing it up every game the Chiefs play. No shade to Hill, but the Chiefs have moved on.

Another fan says this is an obvious phenomenon.
Josh Allen would miss Diggs. Rodgers misses Adams. Mahomes misses tyreek. This is applicable to any WR1+QB combo.

This fan believes that Hill misses Mahomes more.
But you all say he “misses” him to paint a picture of negativity or question his ability. Everyone knows he’d rather have him but – they’re more balanced without him, and again when the phrase “Mahomes misses Tyreek” its not done in a comparative context.

This fan thinks both Mahomes and Hill are great in their own right, individually.
They don’t need each other to be great. https://t.co/n7ALYiv62O

This fan shows Hill some tough love.
Chiefs fans would love to have Tyreek back, but we know we can win without him.
Don’t NEED Tyreek, but would LOVE to have him! https://t.co/2tMlojUlcT

While the debate on who needs whome can become an infinite loop, there is no doubt that both players have been doing well on their own.

Mahomes and Hill were a dynamic pair. But with more guns on his offense can Mahomes take the Chiefs to greater heights? With trade rumors of Odell Beckham Jr to the Chiefs’ circling, could Mahomes potentially build an unstoppable offense? Chiefs fans would definitely hope so.
