In his dig towards the Cowboys star, he said, “People are going to b***h all day about this trade because social media, human nature, politics, shit that you pretend to care about but actually don’t care about.” This has been interpreted as many to be a polarizing take that goes against what Micah Parsons has mentioned in his tweets. The linebacker said, “The fact of the matter is this is a massive win for Brittney Griner. The fact that she had to endure all that bullshit over there over a weed pen? Dude that’s a big win getting her back home big win for her, big win for her family.” Compton also mentioned how this is a big win for the LGBTQ+ community and applauded the effort by the government. There is no doubt that Griner’s return is a great thing. However, the question that remains is how informed are players like Parsons when they make comments about such complex problems.
