NY Jets Safety Jamal Adams is hot property in the NFL at the moment. Trade deals and contract extensions in the NFL have been hard to come by the last couple of months. That is largely due to the fact that the coronavirus pandemic caused financial setbacks to major teams.
Apart from the Patrick Mahomes 10-year contract extension and Cam Newton’s deal, not many other deals were finalized since March.

However, a potential Jamal Adams trade could be on the cards this week. As per recent reports, the in-demand safety is linked with a trade move to San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.
Jamal Adams to part ways with NY Jets this week?
The former first-round pick is reportedly growing tired of his contract situation with the Jets. Adams has two years left on his current deal with the Jets. His salary cap hits $7 million next season followed by $9.8 million in 2021.
However, as per recent reports, Adams is demanding a long-term deal from the Jets due to his terrific performances in the league last season.
Jamal made 75 tackles, 13 TFL, and 6.5 sacks in 2019. In addition to that, he also made one interception which he returned for a TD. Hence, it’s no surprise he’s being linked with a move away from the Jets in the offseason.
San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are the two top teams being linked with Adams. However, Dallas Cowboys are also rumored to be in contact with the 24-year old star.

In a recent interview with Tom, Jake, and Stacy on 710 ESPN Seattle, former NFL QB James Heaps said Jamal was on the Seahawks radar. “I think that trade conversations are heating up around Jamal Adams and that the Seahawks, in particular, are one of those teams that are continuing to pursue Jamal Adams.”
“To me, Jamal Adams is in a Quinton Dunbar situation. He either wants a new deal (with the Jets) that is going to match his talent … or he wants to be traded to a very good team. So if you talk about it from that standpoint, I’m all-in on Jamal Adams, I’m all-in on the Seahawks,” Heaps said.
