Despite having strong willpower, Hamlin also has a soft side. He recently got emotional at the event of ESPY while presenting the award to those close to his heart. Damar Hamlin mourned while presenting the Award

On Wednesday, Buffalo Bills safety Hamlin presented the Pat Tillman Award for service at ESPY to his beloved training staff. It was an emotional yet happiest moment for Hamlin as these people aided him when he had a severe cardiac arrest during a match with Cincinnati Bengals in January. The entire training staff hugged Damar as he couldn’t resist his emotions and thanked him for being alive.

Various sensations, including Baker Mayfield’s wife Emily, shared this heartfelt video in front of the world.

The members presented in Dolby Theatre gave a standing ovation as Hamlin showed his gratitude to his crew. Many of the staff including the Trainer shared their heartfelt gratitude for listening to their prayers and saving Hamlin’s life. Nate Breske showed his gratefulness towards the entire medical staff who were there for him through thick and thin.

“We are not used to having the spotlight on us, We were just doing our job but the idea of service is definitely something ingrained in our profession and that we take pride on it,” Breske added while giving his heartfelt speech.

All staff members experienced trauma that day. During a 13-yard pass from Joe Burrow, Higgins struck Hamlin’s chest, and when he tried to counterattack, Hamlin became unconscious. He was subjected to CPR on the field and immediately admitted to Cincinnati medical center. After some days, he began to get well but remained in ventilation until he got stable.

 Who was the main hero of Damar Recovery?

Denny Kellington is the one who acted promptly on Hamlin’s cardiac arrest. He was the one who administered CPR to Damar before he was taken to the hospital. Denny is an assistant athletic trainer, and before that, he was a medical staff at Syracuse Football Center. Bills wrote an appreciation post for the efforts he put in to save Damar’s life.\
