Recently, JC Cornell reported that the former Bucs tight end wants to make a comeback, but the probability of happening so is just a 50/50 chance. Even if that happens, he will only play alongside Tom Brady and with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The long-standing relationship between the duo dates back to 2010 when Gronkowski was first drafted by the New England Patriots. The bond became so strong that he went with Brady and the Buccaneers after announcing a comeback from 13 months of retirement in 2020. Together, they connected for 90 touchdown passes, making them the second pair of all time after Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison, who have 112 TDs together.

However, the team will have to make certain adjustments in their salary cap space, as they are currently $3 million over the 2022 salary cap. With Brady on the field, the Buccaneers may look for building the team under his shelter so that he can play with wide arms in the upcoming season.
Previously, in March 2019, Gronk retired at the age of 29 citing health issues. He had a myriad of health problems and often suffered from back injuries, broken ribs, and punctured lungs in his career. Later in 2020 he returned with the Buccaneers and helped the team clinch their third Super Bowl ring under the leadership of Brady.
