Tom Brady has kept everyone awake in the offseason, even in the broadcasting sector. First, he retired, then returned, and later got gold after getting a deal from FOX. It all happened due to FOX Sportscaster Erin Andrews, who was a part of TB12’s monstrous deal. She explained how she could influence both sides.

The NFL broadcasting sector got significant attention after Troy Aikman shifted to ESPN on Monday nights. For Andrews, it has been quite a journey. Fox’s sideline reporter has witnessed major shakeups this year. Her contract would have expired, but she struck a deal soon after. She will now join Greg Olsen, Kevin Burkhardt, and Tom Brady after his playing career.
Andrews appeared on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast with Jimmy Traina. She revealed how she swayed Tom Brady and her FOX bosses after Aikman left. She was in Montana on vacation and drunk because of tequila.
She mentions, “we’re calling our bosses at Fox, we’re just like, What the heck? At this point, Tom was retired. I may or may not have put a text out there, or a DM or whatever, and just said, ‘Hey, what are you doing next year? You wanna be part of our crew? I just told him how fun it was and how great our crew was. I placed a call to one of my bosses at Fox and said, ‘Full disclosure, I’ve had a lot of tequila. Why not try to hit it out of the park here with Tom?”
Interestingly, FOX Sports hit a game-changing touchdown. The Broadcast signed Tom Brady to a 10-year, $375 million contract. He will be an ambassador for FOX’s top NFL broadcast team. However, there is a catch. He will begin his role after finishing his playing career.
