The rookie teamed up with USAA and ESPN to give the fans an insight into his house and home gym. Fields gym consists of a dumbbell rack, kettlebells, and resistance bands. The quarterback is still debating if to get a treadmill. That is the only other gym equipment he might consider adding to his gym. Justin is still not sure if it is worth cramming a treadmill.
Fields is one of those athletes who do not depend on the equipment and the machines heavily for his workouts. He believes in hard work and discipline. If you are consistent with the work you put in, you will see the results soon. All you need to do is find the workout that suits you and your body, and stick to it. According to Justin Fields, this is the type of workout that works for him.
Other minimalist athletes
Fellow quarterback and the founder of TB12, Tom Brady is a minimalist as well. According to a post on TB12, Terrific Tom only needs resistance bands to keep him in shape. There are many resistance bands workouts on TB12. Both Tom Brady and Alex Guerrero, his longtime coach, support this approach.
"For the past 7 years I’ve used resistance bands almost exclusively. The difference is profound. My muscles are more balanced and functional, especially for the movements I need to perform as an NFL QB. Resistance bands clearly work better for me." #TB12 #KeepItFluid on #Gameday pic.twitter.com/wrIPsBx2UF
