Pat McAfee is having the best time. The NFL punter-turned-analyst has been doing wonders recently. In recent months, McAfee has earned a massive slate of big-name interviews. He also became a major attraction in this year’s WrestleMania in Texas. While one would believe he has achieved it all, McAfee may have something more in the cart.

Ever since McAfee retired from the NFL, he made the monumental shift towards becoming an analyst, joining the entertainment sector. After joining the SmackDown commentary table alongside veteran Michael Cole, the business has been booming for him. Pat McAfee is by far the most desirable broadcaster in sporting events, with a $120 million contract with FanDuel, among many other activities.

A stupendous gig proposed for Pat McAfee

According to the New York Post, Pat McAfee’s upcoming gig might be the ‘Thursday Night Football’. McAfee and Amazon have discussed the former NFL punt kicker contributing to their football coverage, which will begin this fall.

There has also been chatter of maybe running “The Pat McAfee Show”, his weekly radio show that originally airs on YouTube and SiriusXM via Amazon Prime Video. If this deal gets finalized, he will have a much busier schedule, rather than just Fridays and from 12:00-3:00 pm ET.

This fall, Amazon has recruited Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit to voice the matchups. Pat McAfee might be the latest edition to the headset. Although, despite considerable negotiations that have undoubtedly taken place, both parties have settled nothing until this publishing. Moreover, McAfee had previously indicated on his broadcast that he had already communicated with the Amazon officials.

It looks questionable whether the former NFL punter will go to call games every Thursday, as he already has a fixed Friday in WWE. Apart from that, he made his debut at the Showcase of the Immortals. He defeated current US Champion Theory in an entertaining match but lost to Mr. McMahon in an impromptu contest.
