Recently, Good Morning Football hosted a panel and discussed the best defensive team of the 2020 season. Pundit Kyle Brandt firmly stated that the Chicago Bears fits that category for him. He acknowledged that the franchise did not perform as well in the previous season. However, Brandt has reason to believe that 2020 will be a new leaf.
He explained, “The Bears has the most under-the-radar signing in Robert Quinn, and on the other side, Khalil Mack. Last year, they had the most underrate injury in Akiem Hicks. Their defensive line is going to be the best in football, Trevathan and Roquan are going to snap bubble everything into the middle.”

Brandt also revealed that he visited the Bears facility, long before the coronavirus pandemic struck. This was when the NCAA tournament got cancelled. However, he was thoroughly impressed with the new facilities and was confident that fans would be quite hopeful for the future.
As he put it, “When you leave this facility, you’ll be like, ‘well they’re gonna win the Super Bowl for the rest of time’. Its the most amazing thing of all time.”
He also disclosed that the Chicago Bears also incorporated the future into their defense. In addition to that, they have ‘taken virtual reality and used them to make the defense of the future’.

Interestingly, ESPN’s Mike Clay wrote about Robert Quinn. He said, “Quinn turns 30 this summer, but the veteran edge rusher is one of the league’s most underrated players. In his only season with Dallas, Quinn racked up 11.5 sacks (eighth among edge rushers), 72 pass-rush wins (third) and a 21.5% pass-rush win rate (first) in 2019. He has reached 8.5 sacks all five seasons in which he played at least 600 snaps.”
It is safe to say, that many are expecting great things from the rock solid Chicago Bears defense.
