This Sunday, the crowd at AT&T Stadium saw the Dallas Cowboys struggle against the worst team in the league, the Texans. Although the Cowboys won the game, they might not be happy with the performance of the team. One of the main reasons for their struggle was the untimely injuries of three players. One of the players was the starter, right tackle, Terence Steele, who left the game in the second quarter.
Notably, Steele was a starter for America’s Team and has been one of their best players this season. Apart from him, the Cowboys also lost their cornerback Anthony Brown through an Achilles tear during week 13 game, who was also a starter for the team.

Dallas Cowboys suffer a big loss despite winning against the Texans
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Steele tore his ACL and will most likely be out for the rest of the season. During Sunday’s game, one of the Texans‘ players fell on Steele’s leg trying to make a block. He looked in visible pain as he left the field in the second quarter.
Sources: #Cowboys OT Terence Steele tore his ACL and is out for the season. He was one of the team’s best linemen and is a big part of their future. A normal tear and should be good to go for camp next season.

The Cowboys’ offensive guard, Zack Martin, recently told the reporters, “It’s a big loss for us, and we’ve got to find a way to rally and fill that spot for him because… I said it last year and said it this year… he’s been our bell cow.”

Notably, Steel played every game for the Cowboys this season and played 99 percent of the offense’s snaps. On Sunday’s game, Josh Ball came on for injured Steele in the second quarter. However, the coach replaced him with the veteran OT Jason Peters after he made some terrible plays. After the game, the head coach of the Cowboys, Mike McCarthy, praised the 40-year-old veteran for his decent showing against the Texans.

Certainly, the Cowboys will have to find a suitable replacement for Steele to help QB Dak Prescott. Although Peters and Ball could do the job at the moment, it will not be easy for the Cowboys to replace Steele that easily. On the other hand, Pro Bowl LT Tyron Smith has been practicing well with the team recently. According to reports, he could play against the Jaguars next week, which will be good news for the Cowboys.

Currently, the Cowboys are in the second position in the NFC East division with a 10-3 win-loss record. They have not cemented their place in the playoffs at the moment; however, there’s a very good chance they could get a wild card if the Eagles don’t lose a single game from here on.
