The Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is one of the renowned names in the NFL. Although a pro footballer, he likes soccer as well. It turns out that Rodgers, a Manchester City fan, admires midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, to whom he extended a kind gesture over a victory.

Recently, Bruyne won a match at the Packers’ home stadium Lambeau Field against Bayern Munich. On Saturday, the duo met at Lambeau Field, according to Bruyne’s official Instagram account. They shared signed jerseys and posed for an iconic picture together. “Kevin, love watching you play. You’re a legend.” Rodgers wrote on his No 12 Packers jersey that he gifted to the Man City legend.

Reverting to his warm welcome, Bruyne gave his signed Manchester jersey to the Packers QB and wrote, “To the legend Aaron Rodgers, all the best.” Rodgers later shared this pic of swapping jerseys through his Ig story and captioned it, “Favourite player…great dude”.
Manchester City is prevalent among the English Club. It was their first time in the rain-soaked Lambeau Field, and they nailed the moment with a great start. Meanwhile, the four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers, was present to witness the clash of these two top clubs in the league.

De Bruyne impressed the NFL icon in his first game by leading the side from the front and guiding the team to its match-winning goal just 12 minutes into the contest. The two-time playmaker of the season had an impeccable career since his induction into the team in 2015. And Rodgers’ recent favorite player remark has added another feather to his heap of achievements.

Although heading into the 2022 season, stakes are high for the Packers’ QB. He signed a three-year contract extension, making him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league. However, he might face challenges after losing his No 1 wide receiver Davante Adams this off-season.

“Obviously, when I made my decision, I was still thinking he was going to come back. I was very honest with him about my plans and my future and where I saw my career going, as far as how many years I want to play. But I felt like he was going to be back. Didn’t obviously turn out that way.” Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee show after the Adams trade took place.

Currently, the Minnesota Vikings are the only competitors for Rodgers in the NFC North. With the current offensive unit and a formidable defense, it is a cakewalk for the Packers to make it through. Hopefully, they should be making it to the playoffs once again.
