NFL Legend Rob Gronkowski Reveals Emotions Behind Quitting Football to Become Tom Brady-esque Businessman: “Been Playing For 30 Years… That’s All I Really Know”

Rob Gronkowski retired late in June, but his passion for competing has not withered away. Winning Super Bowls with the Patriots and the Buccaneers has left a mark on him. The TE believes that anything is achievable once you put your mind to it, and that is precisely what he wishes to do further in life. So Gronk is jumpstarting the next phase by getting into business ventures, the latest being a family product.

In an interview, the athlete said that all his life, he played football but now that after his retirement, he wants to explore other things. The Gronk family appeared in the wildly popular show Shark Tank in season 9. They pitched their product, the Ice Shaker, and now Rob wants to get in on the business.

Playing with the GOAT Tom Brady, any player as close as Gronk to him is bound to be inspired. Moreover, even Brady has multiple ventures that amass him a fortune. Now, Gronk wants to follow in the footsteps of his long-time friend.

Gronkowski said, “I’ve been playing for 30 years. I mean, that’s all I really know. And to be able to have that transition to jump right into the business ventures is awesome. It gives me a jumpstart to finding my foot. What place I wanna be like what is my place in this world? My brothers and my dad gave me an opportunity to try Ice Shaker and I can just find my way you know. Find my roots in Boston.”

What is the Ice Shaker business that Rob Gronkowski is planning to get his hands dirty in?

On Shark Tank, Rob’s brother Chris Gronkowski, a former NFL player, pitched his company Ice Shaker to the sharks. All investors wanted to get a piece of the business. Billionaire investors Mark Cuban and Alex Rodriguez made a joint investment of $150,000 for 15% of the company.

The Ice Shaker sells insulated bottles, an improved version of plastic cups used to mix up protein shakes. On investing, Rodriguez said, “They have five brothers, Cuban and I think now we’re like seven brothers having this great company, and we’re having a great time.”

With a new life and new ambitions, Gronk is hoping to make it big and find himself in the business world. Hopefully, he can make something big of his brothers’ and father’s company, the Ice Shaker.
