The New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills went head-to-head in one of the most notable games of the NFL season. Partially, one of the reasons is the Aaron Rodgers and Josh Wilson rivalry. But unfortunately, Rodgers got injured, so Zach Wilson took the place. However, ManningCast hosts Peyton and Eli Manning were not too happy with Wilson’s performance.

The ManningCast show is known to provide insights into a live game. And not a journalist’s insight, but instead, insights from a hall of famer. But Manning’s predictions for the Jets QB don’t look so good, especially after Rodgers got injured.

A recent tweet shared by Dov Kleiman tells us a lot about the game. Peyton and Eli Manning are commenting on the game, and they didn’t like what Zach Wilson was doing. The Manning Brothers were trying to predict the number of times Wilson would throw that ball. Although Wilson only had 12 passes till that time, he was still expected to reach a number of 35 passes.

Peyton then interjects to say that the backup QB will throw three more passes at max, immediately after which Wilson threw a botched pass. It is safe to say that the Manning brothers did not like what they were seeing. They had more expectations from Aaron Rodgers’ backup QB. Maybe Rodgers is just facing bad luck because he seemed so confident about his first game with the Bills.

Peyton Manning didn’t approve of Wilson’s play at all and seemed a bit annoyed with him. The fans expected much more from the QB who replaced Rodgers. Fortunately, Zach Wilson and the Jets made it through, upsetting the Jets in a 22-16 overtime victory. The crowd might not be chanting Wilson’ name after all those missed opportunities.

Rodgers’ unfortunate first game

Aaron Rodgers’ debut with the Jets did not turn out the way that he wanted it to. The QB was sacked during the Jets’ first drive and injured his Achilles. According to the Jets Head Coach Robert Saleh the injury does not look good and Rodgers will be sent for an MRI today. Will the promises Rodgers made about the Super Bowl Championship be in vain.

There were a lot of expectations and debates over Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen’s match-up. To everyone’s surprise, things went down south, and the fans would not be able to see the iconic match-up anytime soon. It looked like Peyton Manning said what the fans wanted to say about Zach Wilson.
