The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have potentially found the replacement for Antonio Brown. The Bucs recently signed WR Julio Jones to a one-year deal. It is a great boost for the team and Tom Brady ahead of the new season.
Jones was a prolific receiver during his days in Atlanta. Over the past few seasons, injuries have held him back. Due to the injury issues with Jones, NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe has some doubts about him. On his show, UNDISPUTED, Sharpe discussed how the deal for Julio Jones would play out for the Bucs.

Talking about Julio Jones signing with the Buccaneers, Shannon Sharpe said, “It’s very very low risk, if you ask me on a scale how much it will help Brady, I will give it a three… because I haven’t seen Julio healthy in three years.”
The NFL Hall of Famer added, “He has missed 7 games each of the last two years, last year he had one game over 60 yards, and he is 33 years of age, and he had soft tissue issues which is hamstring, quads, and calf injuries. One thing Julio doesn’t do often is practice, it’s one of the things in Atlanta, and Tennessee because when you are nicked you don’t practice…”
Shannon Sharpe, like many others, has serious doubts over the availability of Jones. Through the course of the last few seasons, the WR has missed a lot of time due to injuries. If he isn’t healthy, then he and Tom Brady might lack chemistry, which will be a major concern.

Julio Jones can fill the void left by Antonio Brown
So far, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven’t been able to replace Antonio Brown. Maybe now they’ve got their man. Julio Jones is more disciplined than Brown.
Moreover, Jones has a huge point to prove. He wants to show the world that he isn’t done yet. As a result, a motivated version of him will bring the best out of him. Maybe, likewise to Brown, Julio Jones will also be able to contribute towards a Super Bowl triumph for the Bucs.
