Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick had to issue an apology after he commented on Colin Kaepernick in the show ‘Speak for Yourself’ in 2017. Colin Kaepernick was going through a tough season after he took a knee during the National Anthem ahead of the games in 2016.

The legendary QB Michael Vick on the show ‘Speak for Yourself’ said, “First thing we got to get Colin to do is to cut his hair.” Vick commented while discussing Colin and what he should do to clean his image so he can return to the NFL.

The statement Vick made was not taken lightly by the audience and in return, he had to state an apology. Vick appeared on ‘The Dan Patrick Show’, and he said he shouldn’t have commented on Colin’s appearance and that his hair has nothing to do with the game. He also posted a tweet further stating his mistake.

On the show ‘Speak for Yourself’, he also said that Colin not getting to play in the league is not because of the gesture he did in 2016. It is simply because his performance was not up to the mark. Vick also said that he respects and appreciates what he did. But those actions have nothing to do with him not being selected.
Colin Kaepernick can return to NFL with the Raiders
Colin Kaepernick had played 6 seasons for the San Francisco 49ers. He led the team to the Super Bowl in 2013, where they lost to Baltimore Ravens by 34-31. In 2016. Kaepernick started for 11 games and lost 10 of them. He did not have a good season performance-wise.

The next season he was not selected by any team, and since he has been away from football. Recently, Colin is news again as he is set to do a workout session with the Raiders. After almost 5-years of the gap, the former 49ers QB might return to the field.
Las Vegas Raiders had given him a chance of workout which finished last week. It is being said that the workouts were good, and Kap has been able to impress the selectors. Although, no official statement has come from the Raiders.
