During a recent episode of FS1’s UNDISPUTED Show, the former Broncos TE shared his thoughts about the entire situation.
He states, “I’m confused, Skip. I’m baffled. Uh, Drew says he felt the guy was under-used. Skip, how many jailbreak screens, how many handoffs and how many different option routes…uh, the ways they get Tyreek the ball? He had the most targets, most catches of his career. And he has done a great job of finding a way.”
While sharing his inability to understand Hill’s frustrations, the legendary TE credited Hill’s growth in the NFL. In Sharpe’s mind, Hill left the Chiefs to earn his deserving payday. He added that Hill’s notions were just misunderstandings, and former head coach Andy Reid was trying to conduct a game plan.
Has Tyreek Hill burnt the bridge with the Kansas City Chiefs?
Hill’s comment about the team and two key Chiefs franchise figures, QB Patrick Mahomes and coach Andy Reid, might leave fans to scratch their heads. While the comments about Mahomes’ accuracy might be reasonable, the Chiefs’ fans will not accept the comments passed about Reid well.
His remarks left Sharpe defending the KC Chiefs’ head coach against Hill’s personal opinions about them. Sharpe believed Hill might regret leaving Kansas City to go to Miami and play with QB Tua Tagovailoa.
He considered Tagovaiola an average QB against a former Super Bowl-winning QB in Mahomes. Sharpe added Hill was in for a rude awakening in the upcoming season.
