Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady recently reminded fans about one of the most outrageous throws that rival Aaron Rodgers made in the NFL. The Packers QB has been among the top NFL QBs after entering the league and is the reigning league MVP. While he has accumulated many highlight-reel moments throughout his career, the play in question is never discussed.

The play came up as a question during a pre-game show that took place before Capital One’s The Match golf exhibition. It was an all-NFL affair with the game taking place between the teams of Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady facing off against Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

But before they took to the golf course, the QBs indulged in an interview with fellow NFL player and Arizona Cardinals DE JJ Watt.

Watt was asking some fan questions from the 4 NFL QBs, discussing who can make the farthest throws on the field. It led Rodgers’ teammate and 7-time Super Bowl champion, Brady, to respond about the 74-yard heave he made in 2016. Brady states, “I have seen all these guys throw it…launch it. I saw Aaron threw it in this game. That’s the first I’ve ever seen, rolling to the left. Must have been 74 yards in the air. They got called for a PI…Detroit?. So at home from left to right…I mean, I don’t care, 74 in the air is impressive.

Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady are fierce competitors on the football field

While the Buccaneers QB appears to be fanboying about Rodgers’ ‘ridiculous’ throw, both QBs are conference rivals presently. The Buccaneers and Packers franchises have been rivals in recent seasons. Their games have been clashes of enormous significance. Both have admitted to enjoying a competitive game against one another. While Brady has downplayed competition between them and games being about their teams, Rodgers has enjoyed their competitions.
