Nothing can replace the feeling of getting one up on your opponent. Knowing that you are surely going to score might make one a tad bit arrogant. The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill found this out with a second fine in two weeks. 

The Chiefs took on the Buffalo Bills last week in the division-round game. The fourth quarter of this matchup became iconic. In classic NFL fashion, both the teams traded the lead back and forth. Eventually, the Chiefs took it home. Kansas City won with a score of 42-36 in overtime.

Tyreek Hill fined heavily in the wild card round

Kansas City Chiefs has played two games in the playoffs. And the league has fined Tyreek Hill on both occasions. It seems like his bank account cannot catch a break. In the wild card round, the Chiefs faced off against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They won the game with a score of 42-21. Kansas dominated the game. 

During the third quarter, the Chiefs were in a very favorable position. They were leading with 21 points. Patrick Mahomes decided to increase the lead with a deep drive to Hill. Tyreek scored a touchdown, but his celebration cost him $12,875. The wide receiver celebrated with a cheerleader’s pompom. The NFL did not enjoy it and slammed the hefty fine on Hill.

Hill fined again for peace

Last Sunday, the Chiefs were up against the Bills. This game went back and forth. Both the sides put up a pretty good fight. The action increased ten folds in the fourth quarter.

During a play, Mahomes connected with Hill for a 64-yard drive. While running down the field, the Chiefs’ receiver decided to taunt Bills linebacker, Matt Milano. Hill threw up a peace sign while he was rushing towards the end zone to make a touchdown.

As per the NFL regulations, one cannot taunt another player on the field. For his actions, the league fined him once again. This time, Tyreek paid a penalty of $10,300. That is a lot of money for a sign that indicates no hard feelings. Maybe it is true that peace costs sacrifice. To Hill, the price he paid for peace was $10,300.
