The former NFL player performed a selfless act after saving his children from drowning. However, the incident sent him to the hospital. As the reports circulating, fans are showing support for the former athlete.

Peyton Hillis is a pioneering NFL running back and has had a journeyman-type career. Hillis rose to prominence during his 2010 season in Cleveland. He delivered one of the greatest shows of his career. As an outcome of his efforts, the running back was chosen as the cover athlete for EA Sports’ Madden 12 video game.

The former Cleveland Browns star was injured in a swimming accident while saving his children from drowning in Pensacola, Florida. Peyton Hillis dove into the ocean to safeguard his children. The children are safe, but the athlete got hurt in the process. Hillis had to be airlifted to the hospital and was currently undergoing treatment for his lungs and kidneys.

The NFL fans came forward to support him.
