Adam Schefter learned an important lesson in the Packers’ faceoff against the Rams. The NFL insider for ESPN perhaps realized that he might have to leave the athleticism to the professionals. The ‘Lambeoau Leap’ celebration is a feat that can seldom be executed with grace and poise. A celebration where an individual scales or leaps up the wall to celebrate a touchdown with fans has become a tradition.
And Schefter was not one to back down from trying it out. While most players in the NFL would have little to no issue leaping up the wall, ‘Schefty’ is definitely not a professional athlete.

Former QB Robert Griffin III attempted the Lambeau Leap with relative ease before the Packers took on the Rams. Not wanting to miss out on any of the action, Adam Schefter lined up to take on the challenge. Schefter could barely make it a few feet off the ground. ESPN’s Field Yates tweeted the video of Schefter taking the leap into the crowd saying, “Schefty. Athlete!” Thankfully, the attempt wasn’t a total bust.

Fans at Lambeau Field hoisted the journalist up and were good sports about the less-than-impressive attempt. But it does seem like Packers Nation will have to make do with celebrations from individuals outside of their home team. Although the Packers managed to emerge victorious over the Rams, their season hasn’t called for much celebration. The team currently stands at 6-8. Leading man Aaron Rodgers has been prey to multiple injuries during the season. But, the Packers have failed to impress on all fronts. Rumors of the future of the team and its quarterback have steadily been making the rounds. One can’t help but wonder if Matt LaFleur’s offensive vision is too heavily reliant on veteran Rodgers.
Schefter hasn’t impressed twitter with his athleticism
This isn’t the first time Adam Schefter has had woes surrounding a celebration. The journalist reportedly suffered a meniscus tear while performing the ‘griddy’ on a previous occasion. While the Packers may not have given fans too much to celebrate this season, Schefter’s attempt at the ‘Lambeau Leap’ gave them something to talk about. But his athletic abilities did not impress fans online. The clip of the insider hovering in limbo for a split second before being hauled in by fans went viral online.
