Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a minor setback in his hopes to return as a top wide receiver in the league. Teams still covet him. They just don’t want to pay him in eight figures, considering his recent form. One franchise went especially low in the salary negotiation and fans have an idea which team it was.

The former Los Angeles Rams Lombardi-winning wideout recently squashed the rumors of his $20 million compensation demand. However, he also clarified that a four million offer isn’t enough either.

Up until last week, it was common knowledge that Odell Beckham Jr. was looking for something in the $20 million range, according to the reports from Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio. That’s what he wanted last season, and he didn’t want to go down this year. However, Odell refuted that information with some brand-new revelations.

I’m just so confused where the quote is from me that said I want 20 [million dollars]. All I’m saying is 4 ain’t enough,” the former New York Giants WR tweeted yesterday. And this wasn’t the first time the free agent discussed the financial aspect on his social media.

Just this week, OBJ, who has been linked to multiple teams in the past six to seven months, took a shot at the hard negotiating teams were subjecting him to. “They wanna try Mouton but pay box wine price for it,” he tweeted this week.

Fans have an idea about which team low-balled OBJ

The 30-year-old hasn’t played in the NFL since his major ACL tear in the Super Bowl LVI game against the Cincinnati Bengals, where he also had a touchdown reception. And his recovery turned out to be a major concern for the Dallas Cowboys during the mid-season negotiations. However, fans think Jerry Jones is not done in his pursuit of OBJ to put some more weapons in the hands of Dak Prescott, alongside Ceedee Lamb.

Lamb has undoubtedly been the WR1 for America’s Team these past two seasons with back-to-back 1000-yard reception seasons. But OBJ’s addition will surely aid in Dallas’ Super Bowl ambitions. Fans think Jerry Jones and his son and VP of Football operations, Stephen Jones, were the ones who offered the $4 million to compensate for his history of injuries.
