The Tennessee Titans have made a bold move in the second round of the NFL draft by trading up to select a quarterback with a unique taste for coffee mayo and banana peels. With the 33rd overall pick, the Titans have finally put an end to the misery of Kentucky QB Will Levis, who had been waiting patiently for his turn to be drafted after missing out on the first round.

While some analysts had projected Levis as a top talent for the first round, he ultimately went undrafted on Day 1. The first day progressed and the Kansas City Chiefs selected Felix Anudike-Uzomah as the 31st pick, leaving Levis still waiting for his name to be called. But the Titans recognized his talent and potential despite his unconventional taste in condiments and drafted him on Day 2. This obviously came as an immense relief to the young QB, who did more than just breathe a sigh of relief when his name was finally called out.

NFL Rookie Watch posted a video of the reaction on Twitter stating, “Will Levis’ reaction to getting drafted is EVERYTHING. Safe to say the Titans rookie QB was HYPED 🔥 And indeed, Levis has every reason to be hyped. He now has the opportunity to compete at the highest level of football, playing alongside some of the best players in the game.

In an interview posted by CBS Sports, last month Levis stated that he preferred not to be in the spotlight for the entire day if there was a chance he might be a second-round pick. As a result, he decided not to attend the second day of the 2023 NFL Draft, wanting to avoid any unnecessary stress and anxiety on draft day. If he has any disappointment about not being picked on Day 1, he shouldn’t and should rather draw inspiration from the similar tale of the GOAT of NFL.

Will Levis can certainly draw inspiration from Tom Brady’s story, as the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s journey to greatness was far from conventional. Despite being overlooked by many teams and being picked almost at the very end of the draft, Brady went on to have an incredible career that made him one of the most celebrated players in NFL history.

Levis should recognize that the draft is just one step in a long and challenging journey to becoming a successful NFL quarterback.

There is sure to be a lot of excitement among the Titans fans regarding their rookie QB Will Levis. He could even overtake Malik Willis and Ryan Tannehill in his debut season with the team. While these may be lofty expectations, it’s clear that Levis is eager to prove himself on the field. And his similarity to Brady can only serve as good luck. Even more luckily for him, he will have the privilege of learning from one of the most successful quarterbacks in the league. Ryan Tannehill, who has led the Titans as the starting QB for several years, will serve as a mentor to the young rookie. With his guidance, Levis can develop his skills and make a seamless transition into the starting role when the time comes.
