The Chicago Bears have had some draft blunders over the last few years. Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace have been under fire for some of their draft decisions, especially for their choice to draft Mitchell Trubisky. As a result of their poor draft choices, the Bears have suffered on the court. For a city so passionate about their sports teams, they will not be happy with their recent mistakes. One former NFL player has told the Bears to make amends for their mistakes in this year’s draft.

Former NFL player Damien Woody spoke on First Take recently. He talked about how the Chicago Bears must fix their mistakes, going forward. The Bears cannot walk into the new NFL season with Andy Dalton as the starting quarterback. The Chicago Bears fanbase has been hoping for a long time for some success, but not seen any reason to feel positive. The Bears need to fix that by making some different moves going into the new season.

“It’s real simple for me for the Bears. You cannot roll into this season with Andy Dalton as your quarterback. You cannot, if you’re the Chicago Bears, roll into this thing with Andy Dalton as QB1. This fanbase has been clamoring for hope, for something.” 

Chicago Bears need to make a big change

The Bears need to add a new dimension to this team for the new season. He requested Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy do something, make a move to get up in the draft going forward. Woody doesn’t think that they are on the hot seat because they’re way beyond that point. If the Bears want to remain competitive with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, they need to make some major moves going forward.

“They need to spice it up. If you’re the Chicago Bears, if you’re Ryan Pace or Matt Nagy, you’re beyond the hot seat. We can’t even say that this is the hot seat for them. They have to make a move to stir this thing up, to give Bears fans hope. To potentially challenge, because guess what? – Aaron Rodgers is still in Aaron Rodgers is still in Green Bay.”
