Recently, NFL Analyst, Mike Reiss spoke about the New England Patriots. For the first time, the Patriots are preparing for life without star quarterback, Tom Brady in the squad. Brady jumped ship to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this year after the 2020 NFL Draft, following nearly two decades of success with the Patriots.
He confessed that the franchise may find it difficult to match the Tom Brady-era. However, if they could find some solid players to slot into the quarterback berth and improve other key areas, they should be fine. Reiss also mentioned that Brady recorded 33 throwaways in 2019. While it was not a reflection of Brady’s own performance, it did reveal that the offense did not live up to its full potential.

Who is succeeding Tom Brady at the Patriots?
With Brady in a different camp, it is Jared Stidham’s turn to hold up the sky, that is the Patriots’ hopes of a dominant run. So far, Stidham has been doing a stellar job in training and leading the squad.
Reiss also noted that if they bring back center David Andrews, along with the offensive linesmen and running backs, they could do well. To shore up the team further, if they traded up for a couple of tight ends, things could be interesting.

Also, the notion of a young 23-year old quarterback filling in the shoes of Brady calibre is sensational. In other words, it is the story of the season, so many will be keen to follow Stidham’s progress.
On the other side, fans will also be eager to see how Tom Brady does with his new team. Some suggest that Brady may struggle because he is not the same quarterback that he was before. The competition with other quarterbacks will also be fierce, with younger and talented stars rising.
