The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers are on bad terms right now. The franchise quarterback is currently on the outs with the franchise after a tumultuous year.

The problems started when the franchise drafted Jordan Love, a quarterback, in the draft last year. For Rodgers, the move was a sign that the franchise was looking to replace Rodgers. But it appears that the bridge isn’t burnt all the way just yet.

NFL analyst Dan Graziano gave an update on the Aaron RodgersGreen Bay Packers situation. He noted that currently, the situation has simmered between the two parties, and there is growing optimism that the two parties can reach an agreement soon.

“Things have quietened down, certainly since Draft day. The Packers still hope and believe that there’s a chance he’ll be back with them as their starting quarterback this year.

“The question is what will that take, and there have been conversations between Aaron Rodgers camp and the Packers about a new contract.

“When you look at the Packers and the way they do business, the willingness to a new contract tells that they’re willing to bend a little bit in Aaron Rodgers’ direction.”

Aaron Rodgers on his way back to Green Bay?

Graziano added that currently, the two parties must have spoken about what it would take to bring Rodgers back to the picture.

He is of the opinion that Rodgers might need some sort of assurances from the franchise about his future. What that means for the future of Jordan Love at this time isn’t certain. But the franchise and their reigning MVP could reunite soon.

“It’s just a question of what that number is and is it high enough to get him back. Do they need to do something with Jordan Love to convince him that he’s no longer in threat and he has a long-term future there?

“So certainly not resolved and not necessarily close to being resolved but right now, the Packers’ mindset is about finding a way back to Aaron Rodgers as the starter versus moving on from him.”
