Kay Adams of Good Morning Football previewed the fixture ahead of the Dolphins and the Cheifs clash on Sunday. She noted that Miami have been good this season and have a good shot at making the Playoffs.
“Brightest star, I’m going to go ahead and talk about something I heard from Andy Reid this week. He was talking to reporters. The Chiefs face Miami. Miami look good, they’ve got good playoff chances.”

Adams revealed that Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid awarded Dolphins coach Brian Flores with a surprising gift to help them reach the Super Bowl last season.
“And Andy Reid told a story about Week 17 last year. They needed the Chiefs to beat the Chargers, and they needed Miami to beat the Patriots.

“After that coach Andy Reid sent out barbecue, like a care-package, to Brian Flores to thank him for helping them out and getting that first-round playoff bye on their way to winning the Super Bowl.”

However, the niceties from last season are over. “But now, Brian Flores wants to put Andy Reid in a slow cooker and get himself a win for this thing.
“Not only for his coach of the year candidacy, which is obviously in play here, but to get his team into the Playoffs. The Dolphins are hanging on to their playoff spot with Raiders and Ravens nipping at to their heels.”

Adams mentioned that the victory could help the Dolphins tie themselves with the Bills, provided they cannot defeat the Steelers. They have a game against the Bills that could help them clinch the playoff spot under the right circumstances.
“They can pull even with the Bills in the AFC East. Buffalo play Pittsburgh this weekend. If the Dolphins win and the Bills lose, they are both sitting at 9-4 with a match-up in Buffalo looming.”
This weekend could be crucial for the Dolphins. They need to do everything in their power to secure a playoff spot. However, playing against the Chiefs will not be an easy task.
