Patrick Mahomes happens to be the current poster boy of Kansas City and is slowly elevating himself as the face of the NFL. He is a four-time Pro Bowler, league MVP, and Super Bowl Champion. However, according to him, it isn’t sufficient to draw comparisons with the legends like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

The Chiefs will meet the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday. It will be a blockbuster matchup between two emerging talents and MVP candidates this season.
Although Mahomes happens to be a favorite, his record against Burrow isn’t great. When they met twice last season, it was Burrow who came out victorious with a 2-0 record. He proved to be a promising prospect in the AFC to pick up a fight against some of the top-tier passers. Ahead of the game, Bengals WR Tyler Boyd sparked the GOAT debate and drew comparisons with the Brady-Manning rivalry.
He called both the quarterbacks to resemble similar qualities and hinted at a high-voltage matchup. However, Mahomes refused to acknowledge this comment and believes that a lot more is left in his career to prove.
“Yeah, I have a ton of respect for Joe (Burrow),” Mahome said. “He’s a great football player, but he’s a competitor like you said. Those are the guys that win in this league are guys that compete. And so, I hate to compare it to (Tom) Brady and (Peyton) Manning because they’ve won so much and put up so many stats, and I feel like that’s something that you do at the end of your career when they look back and see all the success that you had,” he added showcasing his humble attitude.

Well, to some extent his remarks happen to be true. Because Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are accomplished players. They have spent more than a decade together, and drawing comparisons at this point seems inappropriate.
