The NFL world has been buzzing with rumors about the future of one of its biggest stars, Aaron Rodgers. Many teams have been linked to the Green Bay Packers quarterback, specifically the New York Jets. According to one NFL analyst, the Jets are banking on Rodgers’ ego to make the move to the Big Apple, despite a failed situation in the off-season.

But will Rodgers be willing to take the risk and join a team that may not guarantee success? Some suggest the Jets won’t trade a valuable draft pick for a 39-year-old quarterback because they’re not sure if he really wants to keep playing football.

The Packers still have Rodgers on their team but the QB has made his intentions of moving away quite clear. Backup quarterback Jordan Love is also on the roster. The teams should have moved on from Rodgers this offseason, but they haven’t done so yet.

“I think what you’re counting on if you’re the Jets is Aaron Rodgers’ ego. And I think that Aaron Rodgers will not abide that he is going to have this little scab at the end of his career where he went and flamed out with the Jets.”, per Kyle Brandt at “Good Morning Football” on NFL Network.

Kyle Brandt thinks the Jets are hoping for Aaron Rodgers to play for them, but he believes that Rodgers is too confident in his abilities to risk joining a team like the Jets and potentially not succeeding. According to Brandt, Rodgers would sign the only team that he believes has a good chance of winning, Brandt also acknowledged that his confidence in himself is a significant factor in his decision-making process.

Jets fans eager for Rodgers to join team

Meanwhile, Packers fans and executives optimist for a high-level draft pick (like the 13th overall pick) in exchange for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Whereas, the New York Jets also have some power in this negotiation because they could choose not to make the deal.

The Jets might not want to keep Zach Wilson as their starting quarterback for another season, even though they have fans who support him. If the Packers fire Zach, they will need Aaron Rodgers on their team.

It is clear that the Jets hold some bargaining power, but they also need to improve their team and get a great quarterback like Rodgers. It seems trade will depend on how well they can work together and make a deal that everyone is happy with.
