An exhilarating day of football soon turned into a day of injuries, as many players took some truly nasty hits. Out of the injured players, two of them are quarterbacks. Joe Burrow suffered a possible throat contusion after taking a massive hit from Darnell Savage, but New York Giants star QB Daniel Jones suffered a similar fate.

New York Giants took on Dallas Cowboys and lost in an embarrassing fashion. However, things initially looked good for the Giants, as Daniel Jones aided in three touchdowns with one interception. Unfortunately, the quarterback suffered a head on collision with Dallas Cowboys linebacker Jabril Cox.

The injury to Jones comes alongside a massive injury to Cincinnati Bengals’ star quarterback, Joe Burrow. He took a nasty hit at the hands of Darnell Savage, which nearly took his head off his shoulders. After the game, Burrow’s teammates claimed he could not speak, which urged the team to rush him to the hospital.

As for Daniel Jones, his head on collision with Jabril Cox led to him leaving the field on a cart. He rushed to score a touchdown from a mere yard away, only to have Cox obliterate him, followed by a knee to the helmet. However, it seems the contact with the ground and his opponent’s helmet rocked the 24-year-old. Medical staff arrived on the scene after he struggled to stand up.

Medical staff tended to him, after which they carted him off and confirmed he suffered a concussion. While it wasn’t as serious as Joe Burrow’s injury, we wish a steady and safe recovery for the Giants quarterback.

While Daniel Jones nearly split open his head like a pistachio, Giants’ running back Saquon Barkley injured his ankle during the Cowboys game. While the injury was nasty, the way it happened is quite an amusing story. Barkley stepped on Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis’ foot, causing his foot to go sideways.

Pictures of the swollen foot would send chills up any person’s spine, but we know Barkley is already itching to get back on the field. It is unfortunate when we realise Barkley might miss a significant chunk of the 2021 season, and already sat out most of last season.
