The Daniel Jones-led New York Giants narrowly missed out on the NFL Playoffs in 2020. Despite beating divisional rivals Dallas Cowboys by a 23-19 scoreline in the final game of the regular season, the Giants fell short of sealing a spot in the post-season.
They finished 2nd in the NFC East with a 6-10 record behind Washington Football Team. HC Joe Judge did a fantastic job in keeping the Giants in contention for a playoff spot despite losing star running back Saquon Barkley early on in the season.
The 23-year-old quarterback Daniel Jones featured in 14 games last season. He ended his sophomore year with a 5-9 record, throwing for 2,943 yards with 11 passing TDs against 10 interceptions.

Daniel Jones still has a future in New York as per Head Coach
New York Giants General Manager Dave Gettleman was quick to put his faith behind the under-fire QB Daniel Jones in a recent interaction with the press.
“We’ve had Daniel for two years; we’ve done the evaluation on him and we really believe he’s the guy. No reason to go look….How many of us after two years at our new job were great?
“No, we all start at point ‘A’ and we hopefully get to point ‘Z,’ but the one common denominator is it takes time. Everybody has to understand that. We believe in Daniel and that’s where it is,” Gettleman said, via team transcript.
Coach Joe Judge echoed the same sentiment as he further added, “We have confidence in Daniel, he’s a player that we want to work with going forward with this team. He’s shown us a lot of improvement, there’s a lot of things.
“I can go on and on about how we respect him and like him and how the locker room responds to him, but the simple answer to that is no.

“In terms of Daniel, like every other player and every coach, we all have things we have to improve on and take strides forward in this year. That’s no different for any player on our roster or any player in the league really,” Judge concluded.
Daniel Jones has an 8-18 record in 26 starts for the franchise. He has thrown for 5,970 yards with 35 passing touchdowns in his first 2 seasons. He further has 702 rushing yards and 3 rushing TDs for the Giants.
