Lamar Jackson just officially announced that he would like a trade from the Baltimore Ravens. The organization couldn’t agree to the quarterback’s desired number. After negotiations lasting over two years, Action Jackson frankly had enough. And, especially after reports came out regarding possible max-extensions on the way for fellow quarterbacks, Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts. And, it seems the QB is not taking this lightly.
Joe and Jalen reached the Super Bowl in their second and third years in the league, respectively. And the extension was undoubtedly on the way. However, despite the lack of a title game appearance, 2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson didn’t want to sit around. Especially considering the number of QB-needy franchises in the league.

As Baltimore inches closer to losing their dynamic dual-threat quarterback, Philadelphia Eagles will surely not repeat the same mistake with Hurts. Jalen set the all-time NFL rushing touchdown record for a QB this season (15). Cincinnati Bengals are also ready to show their appreciation for Cool Joe Burrow.
According to the NFL annual meeting minutes in Arizona Biltmore, as per OutKick’s Armando Salguero, “The Bengals and Burrow’s representatives have been talking for some time, per a source.” Besides Hurts and Burrow, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is also on the list and can “expect to be offered contract extensions prior to the start of the season.”

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will have to do a bit more proving on-field before landing an extension. However, Lamar feels like he has done enough.
Lamar Jackson wants out of Baltimore
Action Jackson missed the last 6 games of the 2022-23 season with a PCL knee injury. He also got sidelined in the 2021-22 season after Week 14 with an ankle injury. And these injury concerns could have played a major role in the Ravens not giving a ‘Deshaun Watson contract’ to Lamar. Especially since Lamar’s absence was crucial in Baltimore’s wild-card round loss to the Bengals in the playoff this year.
And the Louisville star doesn’t want to wait around for the Purple Rain either. “As of March 2nd, I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens have not been interested in meeting my value. Any and everyone that has met me or been around me knows I love the game of football. And my dream is to help a team win the super bowl,” LJ tweeted.
