The Las Vegas Raiders have a new head coach for next season in Josh McDaniels. But while a new head coach usually means there will be a lot of changes in the squad and the management, that does not seem to be the case here. In fact, it looks like McDaniels will not have time to rebuild the Raiders after all.

In his first year in Vegas, McDaniels has a lot on his plate. The HC is also putting a lot of high expectations on himself. But he also blames Today’s NFL for not really having any time to do the rebuilding.

Josh McDaniels makes unsettling admissions about the franchise

The Las Vegas Raiders hired Josh McDaniels towards the end of January. Notably, McDaniels was previously the offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots. And even though the Raiders fans hate the Patriots, their new HC is a welcome edition. How so? Well, Josh’s success is no secret; he is indeed a great coach and the team could definitely benefit from someone like him.

Recently, McDaniels claimed that the Raiders squad he inherited can do some real damage in the 2022 season. However, he doesn’t have enough time to make changes. “I don’t think in today’s NFL there’s really any time to do rebuilding anyway,” said the new Raiders’ head coach. “This certainly isn’t that type of situation for us.”

McDaniels is keeping his expectations very high, and rightly so. He might not be making too many changes, but the HC wants the team to fare better than the previous season. Undoubtedly, the Raiders are a tough squad and, with the right guidance, they can even make it to the Super Bowl.

Is Josh McDaniels the leader Las Vegas have been looking for? We will find out when the 2022 season kicks off.

Raiders’ previous season

In the 2021 season, the Las Vegas Raiders had a pretty decent run. The franchise made it to the playoffs with a record of 10-7. Even though the 10-7 record seems impressive on paper, the team was outscored a lot. They scored 374 points, but on the other hand, they also allowed 439.
