Baltimore Ravens have made it official. The 27 months of stalemate between them and their 2019 MVP QB Lamar Jackson has finally come to an end. Despite the Ravens non-exclusive franchise tagging him, earlier this year, they came to terms with a deal that keeps the QB with the franchise for five years. And, in spite of being criticized for having his mother Felicia Jones act as his manager, AJ bagged a deal from the Ravens. 

It’s not just the QB who is excited about his new contract. Fans of the Ravens’ flock are left in awe as well over the massive contract Jackson has bagged for himself.

Breaking the Lamar Jackson deal with ease, the Instagram way

Lamar Jackson officially signed the 5-year $260 million, with a $185 million guaranteed extension the Ravens have offered him. The contract also includes a no-tag and no-trade clause, meaning the QB will be an unrestricted free agent after five years. 

The QB took to Instagram to share a post of him inking his new deal with the franchise. He captioned the post, “THANK GOD”. Flaunting a new hairstyle on the post, Jackson seems locked and loaded to continue his career with the Ravens after all the hurdles that came his way.

The Ravens fans took to the comments section to showcase their excitement about Lamar staying with the franchise.

One fan felt that OBJ could be the reason why the QB signed a new extension, commenting, “Bro saw OBJ and resigned”.

Another fan now wants Jackson to march on to a Super Bowl win, “Better get us that Bowl”.

During the press conference after signing his new deal, the QB admitted that he wants to throw for at least 6,000 yards in the 2023 season. The 2019 MVP now has more firepower in the offense with new wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr and 2023 first-round draft pick Zay Flowers. With Monken now a part of the Ravens system, the offensive plays now might emphasize more on a passing game on the field.
