Mac Jones filed a trademark for ‘MJ10’ with the Trademark Office and the U.S. Patent on Friday. He wants to sell his own branded apparel. Mac wants to launch a line of clothes, footwear, and accessories under his name. This has the scope of being successful. Jones is not the first Patriots player to do this. Their former receiver Julian Edelman has a similar trademark as well. Edelman sells his merchandise under “JE11”

Mac Jones is a well-known name in America. He wants to capitalize on his popularity. It is not uncommon to see players and celebrities doing such things. A good sports brand will surely attract football fans.

In the post-Brady era, Mac Jones was the first quarterback drafted by the Patriots coach Bill Belichick. Even though Jones had some big shoes to fill, he has fared pretty well. Jones currently leads all the rookie passing yards with 2,850 yards under his belt. He has 16 touchdowns, a 70% completion rate, 97.1 quarterback rating, and 7.5 yards per attempt. With Mac Jones leading the offense, the New England Patriots currently sit on the top of the AFC East table with a record of 8-4. They have definitely booked a ticket to the playoffs this season.

It is not an easy task to match the magnitude of Tom Brady, but Mac Jones has made a name for himself. But is that name big enough to launch its own brand in the global market?

Mac Jones raises eyebrows

Is Mac Jones really following in the footsteps of Tom Brady? The similarity between ‘MJ10’ and ‘TB12‘ is uncanny. One of the reasons is, both of them are quarterbacks. They play or played for the New England Patriots. Brady’s TB12 has become a global phenomenon after launching in 2013. It is a multi-million dollar company that sells everything. From clothes to meal plans to fitness sessions, it can all be found in TB12.
