The NFL season is in full force, and with it comes the inevitable injury reports. Unfortunately, Bill Belichick‘s New England Patriots have not been immune to this concern. In the midst of this, it will be quite intriguing to see how the Patriots address their challenges and strive to secure their first win of the season at MetLife Stadium.
On the other hand, the New York Jets will also be determined to secure a victory against the Patriots on their home turf, considering they haven’t defeated the Patriots since 2015. Therefore, both teams find themselves in a do-or-die situation for Sunday afternoon’s game. However, given the recent injury reports for the Patriots, winning the game may prove to be a daunting task.

The New England Patriots have provided updates on player injuries and practice participation, and unfortunately, they may rule out eight players from the team, including OL Sidy Sow, who is dealing with a concussion. So, a fourth-round draft pick, was notably absent from practice, indicating that he may have experienced a setback in his recovery from the concussion that sidelined him in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins.
Additionally, DB Marcus Jones remains sidelined due to a shoulder injury sustained during the Dolphins game. Other Patriots players facing injury challenges include DL Christian Barmore, WR DeVante Parker, and G Cole Strange, who are dealing with knee injuries. OT Trent Brown is in concussion protocol, while CB Jonathan Jones and OL Mike Onwenu are nursing ankle injuries. These players either did not participate in practice or were limited participants.
Meanwhile, the New York Jets are also facing their share of challenges, despite their 2-0 win record this season.

It’s crucial to note that the Jets have faced eight straight seasons and 14 games of defeat against the Patriots. Their last victory came on December 27, 2015. Winning this Sunday afternoon game holds great importance for Robert Saleh‘s team. However, when we consider their recent performances and injury reports, the New York Jets’ situation doesn’t appear favorable. Following Aaron Rodgers‘ departure due to Achilles injury, Zach Wilson is arguably one of the struggling quarterbacks in the NFL.
Their unconvincing performance against the Dallas Cowboys suggests a return to their poor 2022 form. Additionally, injuries to key players such as S Tony Adams (hamstring), T Duane Brown (shoulder & hip), CB Michael Carter II (elbow), T Mekhi Becton, RB Breece Hall, and LB Quincy Williams (knee) raise concerns. DL John Franklin-Myers and K Greg Zuerlein were also listed as limited participants due to hip and groin injuries, respectively. Similar to Bill Belichick’s Patriots, none of the Jets’ players were listed as full participants.
