The New England Patriots chairman and CEO Robert Kraft released a formal yet heartfelt statement about former Patriots QB Tom Brady and his retirement. The message comes on the back of Brady’s retirement announcement that did not mention his time with the Patriots. Kraft, though, released a finely worded letter about Brady and his impact on the game of football. Brady began his NFL career with the Patriots and enjoyed outstanding success.

Kraft appears very humble in his letter to Brady that discusses his service to the Patriots organization. He tries to remind Brady of the glorious times with the organization, with claims of all Patriots fans being thankful for his service. Kraft states, “A generation of football fans have grown up knowing only an NFL in which Tom Brady dominated.”

He also states that his winning mentality was essential to their success, and they enjoyed together with his 6 Super Bowl victories in New England. He states all of Brady’s career achievements while showing gratitude and calling him as part of his immediate family.

Despite his frosty relationship with coach Bill Belichick, Brady has had a healthy relationship with Kraft. Both did part mutually, and Kraft appears emotional about Brady and his permanent departure from the game. Kraft recognizes Brady and his competitive spirit while playing the game and appreciates how he brought it every game.

He also describes working and winning with Brady as an immense privilege and dream in retrospect. The close and special bond between Brady and Kraft shines within his statement while mentioning Brady’s humility and ambition. The statement is a celebration by Kraft of Brady and his long NFL career with the Patriots and the Buccaneers.

The 5-time Super Bowl MVP is in Kraft’s positive thoughts and shows in his statement. Despite their separation being far from ideal, Brady has to respect Kraft and will surely rectify his error.
