American memorabilia manufacturer Jostens made the rings. They are studded with expensive stones. The rings contain 609 round diamonds, 16 baguette diamonds, 4 marquise diamonds, and 35 rubies. Each ring weighs around 16.10 carats. And it is not only just fitted with expensive stones, but it also portrays a symbolic journey of the Chiefs in the league. The top part is made of rubies that create the KC logo, sitting above the Lombardi Trophies. The top is removable and can be worn as a pendant as well. This reveals a replica of the Arrowhead Stadium and a quote from founder Lamar Hunt, “Arrowhead Stadium is my favorite place on earth.”

The ring also has the names of players on one side and the Super Bowl LVII logo, along with the final score of the showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles on the other side. This also raises another question in our mind. Which ring was the most expensive ring in NFL history?

Most expensive Super Bowl ring

Super Bowl rings have varied costs, as they are customized according to the team that wins the Lombardi Trophy. But when we talk about the most expensive Super Bowl ring, The New York Giants Super Bowl XXV championship ring back in 1990 holds the title. The ring is made of 14-karat white gold featuring a large diamond logo stating ‘NY” on the top. It is a valuable collector’s item that is seen as a symbol of the Giants’ struggle to victory and the investments made to win a Super Bow. Lawrence Taylor, one of the key players in that win, saw his ring being auctioned by his son for $230,000 plus fees in 2011. And this led to it being labeled as the most expensive super bowl ring.
