There have been plenty of controversies recently surrounding the Washington Commanders’ owner, Dan Snyder. According to earlier reports, he hired private investigators to investigate other owners of various NFL franchises. Moreover, he claimed to have some ‘dirt’ on the commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell.
However, he recently released a statement that denied all those reports and claims, as he talked about his relationships with the other NFL owners and Goodell.

Dan Snyder denies all the false claims by the media
Earlier, Snyder sent a letter to his fellow NFL Owners, in which he slammed the ESPN article, which published all the news about Snyder. Regarding hiring private investigators, he said, “That is patently false and intended to erode the trust and goodwill between owners that I take quite seriously. I have never hired any private investigator to look into any owner or the Commissioner. I have never instructed or authorized my lawyers to hire any private investigator on my behalf for any such purpose.“

In his statement, he also says, he feels privileged to own the Commanders but won’t tolerate any false allegations against him and his team. “Falsehoods and lies being spread about any of our organizations hurts our League, our players, and our fans, and we simply cannot let them go unchallenged,” he further said.
Earlier, all the NFL owners had a meeting in New York, as commissioner Goodell talked about investing the Commanders’ owner regarding his statements. It is worth noting that Snyder has been the owner of the franchise for the last 23 years and he survived many allegations before. However, it seems like this one will be tough for him to get out of.

Colts owner Jim Irsay wants the NFL to remove Snyder as the owner of the Commanders
In a recent interview, Indianapolis Colts owner and CEO, Jim Irsay said, “You know, it’s a difficult situation. I believe that there’s merit to remove him as owner of the [Commanders]… I think it’s something that we have to review, we have to look at all the evidence and we have to be thorough going forward, but I think it’s something that has to be given serious consideration.”
In reply, the Commanders again released a statement, in which they slammed the Colts owner for making inappropriate comments about Snyder before a proper investigation. Meanwhile, the Commanders will visit the Colts in the week 8 match-up, and it has been a tradition for the owners to meet and greet each other on the field before the game. Certainly, it will be interesting to see if they greet each other before the kickoff.
