This is exactly what happened when the No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers scripted a surprise victory against No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide in their SEC clash.
Tennessee Volunteers see wild celebrations
NCAA football means a lot to students and alumni alike. So when the University of Tennessee football team, the Volunteers, won for the first time in 16 games against the University of Alabama, fans in the stadium couldn’t control their emotions.

Tennessee’s thrilling win
The football world knows all about the Tennessee-Alabama rivalry but it hadn’t been as exciting in recent times. The Volunteers entered the game with a 15-game losing streak and a potential 16 straight loss hanging over their heads.
Team Tennessee did not take the pressure but started the game in attacking mode. The Volunteers snapped their long losing streak against the Crimson Tide. Chase McGrath became a hero as he made a 40-yard to complete a 52-49 victory in a ding-dong battle.
Hendon Hooker threw for a total of 385 yards for the Volunteers, including five touchdown passes but the Alabama defense intercepted one of the passes. Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt posted six pass receptions and scored five touchdowns in the game.

This game puts Tennessee in second place on the SEC East table with a 7-0 overall record. The Volunteers will next take on the University of Tennessee at Martin local rivals. Alabama Crimson Tide is second in SEC West with a 6-1 record and will take on the team from Mississippi State University.
