Michigan Wolverines win the big ten championship
For the first time since 2004, the Wolverines have won the Big Ten Championship. In the buildup to the match, all eyes were on the air tight defense of Iowa and how it would be a mountain climb for Michigan. However, once the match started, all speculation went down the hill as the Wolverines played an immense game.
Not only did they score 42 past Iowa, they also ensured that the lethality of the Iowa offence was completely nullified. For example, Iowa RB Tyler Goodson was completely neutralised by the Wolverines defence as they stopped him from breaking out into the open field. Thanks to this, Iowa’s playmaking abilities took a hit and thus they weren’t able to score at all.
While many predicted the win based on their standings, there were still some doubters owing to the presence of Jim Harbaugh. Every season, the Wolverines have come close to the playoffs but their inability to perform during clutch moments showed a lack of composure from the head coach. This long due win means that all the Harbaugh haters will be silenced.
Cade McNamara & co obliterate the Iowa defence
Quarterback Cade McNamara combined with Running Back Donovan Edwards to wreck havoc on the Iowa defense. The star QB was 16-for-24 with 169 passing yards and a touchdown pass as well as an interception. The RB meanwhile had a 75-yard touchdown pass to Roman Wilson that helped open the floodgates.

“After a match winning performance, the QB stressed on the influence of Coach Harbaugh on the team. “One of the first things I thought of after we won was Coach Harbaugh,” quarterback Cade McNamara said. “That happened against Ohio State, that happened here again. After last season, it was so tough, not just for us players but for Coach Harbaugh as well, and we know that there’s not one person who cares about Michigan more than Coach Harbaugh.”
