Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings pulled off the greatest regular season comeback in the NFL’s history on Saturday’s thrilling showdown. The Vikings came back from a 33-point deficit to win in overtime against the Indianapolis Colts. However, this massive victory was not the only thing that the media noticed about Vikings quarterback Cousins.

The Vikings won the NFC North Division with Saturday’s win at home. However, Cousins’ post-game outfit choice also drew considerable attention. The Vikings jacket, that seemed to blend with the background, created quite the stir among the reporters present. Well, it wasn’t Kirk’s call. Cousins’ wife, Julie Hampton, selected the suit irrespective of the outcome of the ballgame. And it’s safe to say, it was quite a gamble.

Cousins explained the vivacious jacket in simple words. The Vikings QB is a wonderful husband who listens to his wife. “My wife dresses me. She put it out last night. I looked at her like, ‘I don’t know.’ She nodded. ‘You got to do it.’ So here we are,” 34-year-old Cousins said. If the Minnesota Vikings didn’t pull off a 36-point comeback in the second half, Kirk Cousins would have had to face a very awkward press conference. The NFL Twitter-verse loved it. And maybe that had a lot to do with the win.

On a different day, Kirk Cousins may not have received the same love for his fashion choice

The historic comeback saw the Vikings’ offense and defense, both step up sufficiently to become the kings in the North. Despite being sacked 7 times in the entire game, Kirk Cousins delivered four crucial touchdown passes to his wideouts and running back Dalvin Cook. Cousins covered 460 yards passing the ball. However, he was also intercepted twice by the Indianapolis Colts secondary. Fans loved the suit. Moreover, they thought that if it was Tom Brady or someone else, there would be much more hype about this comeback win.

K.J. Osborn had 157 receiving yards and Justin Jefferson recorded 123. Moreover, both wide receivers had a touchdown each. Dalvin Cook ran through the entire Colts’ defense to bring them 2 points away from overtime. And Kirk Cousins converted the 2 points when T.J. Hockenson caught the ball in the end zone to complete the comeback. The Vikings believed, Cousin’s wife believed and fans think it’s time they started doing the same.
