Gisele Bündchen is a fierce advocate of healthy eating, just like her ex-husband Tom Brady. Even during her interviews, when most celebrities sip on wine or other drinks of the sort, she chooses coconut water. But it wasn’t always the case. The Brazilian supermodel once explained why she gave up sugar for around a hundred days.

Instantly, Bündchen became a very health-conscious person from someone who loved munching on chips from the supermarket. But what exactly prompted such a drastic change in her lifestyle?

Gisele Bündchen gave up sugar entirely from her dirt on the advice of a doctor. She talked about the instance in detail in her 2018 memoir. Bündchen revealed that she met a doctor who diagnosed her with complexity in her adrenal glands. And it was all because of the stress and diet.

“He made it clear my diet was harming me and advised me to give up all sugar for the next three months. Not just sugar from the wine I was drinking every night but sugar from fruit and from the carbohydrates my body broke down after I ate rice or pasta or bread,” Bündchen wrote in ‘Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life’. The ex-wife of NFL legend Tom Brady revealed how much she loved snacking as a child. But all that changed after her meeting with the doctor. She became the healthy eater the fans now know her as.

Bündchen isn’t the only one who stresses putting the right thing in the body. Brady is also a fierce advocate of the same principle. And the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB has taken healthy eating to another dimension.

The Tom Brady diet

Tom Brady dominated the NFL for 23 years. That is a long career by any stretch of the imagination. And he did it through the rigorous training regime, and a special diet designed to reduce injury. The diet Brady used through a large part of his career is called the ‘TB12 diet’.He designed the diet along with his trainer Alex Guerrero. According to him, it helps reduce inflammation in the body, thus reducing the risk of injury. Maybe that is the legendary QB’s secret of playing till the end of the 2022 season at the age of 45.

The diet is 80% plant-based. For the rest of the 20%, Brady recommends organic animal products that are free from hormones and antibiotics. So, the ex-power couple is both a health and fitness freak. Most importantly, they practice what they preach. But is the same diet plan good for everyone?
