The NFL and NBA fraternities recently witnessed their star players on the golf course. Competing against each other in “The Match” tournament. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes teamed up with wide receiver Travis Kelce to go against NBA veterans Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. 

However, Mahomes and Kelce emerged victorious in the game. But the game was no less than a roller coaster ride, that included a Mahomes moment with a fan, where the quarterback was seen apologizing for the hurt he had caused. Mahomes tenderly approached the fan and apologized sincerely, showing a genuine apology for the unintentional mishap.

Patrick Mahomes’ kind gesture

Following the unexpected incident where his shot struck a young fan. The Chief’s quarterback immediately approached the young fan, offering words of comfort and assurance. The episode was highlighted by NFL’s official Instagram account, where they posted a story by tagging Mahomes in the same.

In the video Mahomes was seen crossing the side boundaries, to sign the ball for the discomforted young fan. Mahomes gently asked the fan “Where did it hit you” to which the fan points out to his side. Posting the whole scene, NFL’s official account stated, “Patrick Mahomes’ golf ball struck this young man on his side! #TheMatch”. Following the drill, the quarterback reposted the story saying, “My bad bro!! Appreciate the kick tho!”. 

The kind gesture of Mahomes was brought to notice, and fans didn’t miss out on a chance to appreciate the quarterback. Post gaining reigning “The Match” game, Mahomes will look forward to the upcoming 2023 NFL season. Moreover, fans are deliberately waiting to witness Mahomes on the field, and probably winning the second consecutive super bowl championship. 

Patrick Mahomes and the 2023 NFL season

Kansas City Chiefs are the 2022 super bowl champions. And to defend their title they will go against 31 formidable NFL teams. However, the promising quarterback Patrick Mahomes, like the 2022 season can be the proving point for the Chiefs in the upcoming season. With 41 TDs and 5,250 yards in the 2022 season, Mahomes is one of the most aggressive quarterbacks in the NFL. 

The Chiefs will go against the Detroit Lions in their first regular season game in 2023. Lions’ quarterback Jared Goff and Mahomes will compete to witness the first victory of the season. However, after having a smooth pre-season stint, Mahomes looks pumped to dominate his rival teams on the field. Moreover, the promising stats of the quarterback can be the center of confidence for the entire camp.
