Defending Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams are having a torrid season. A 3-6 record going into week 11 is not something a team in the pursuit of a title defense would want. And it seems things are not getting better for the Rams. Heading into their Week 11 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, the Rams field an offensive line of which most weren’t even on the team in Week 1.

As it stands, the Rams have a total of 7 injured linesmen. The replacement includes offensive tackle Zachary Thomas, whom the Rams signed from the Chicago Bears team only this week. Ty Nsekhe, Oday Aboushi, and Matt Skura complete the list of additions made post-Week 1.

The only relief for Rams fans is the return of their primary QB, Matthew Stafford. Stafford has been in concussion protocol just an hour before kickoff against the Arizona Cardinals. And his return this week might just give them the boost they missed against the Cardinals. But it may just not be enough. The Rams have tried out a different lineup in each of their starts this season, and so far, nothing has clicked yet. At this rate, however, they might just run out of players to field, forget about winning the Super Bowl.

The Rams aren’t the only ones facing injuries. The Saints have their fair share of injuries too. Defensive end Cameron Jordan’s streak of 12 years without missing a game due to injury will end soon. Cornerback Marshon Lattimore is also out of the game due to an abdomen injury. Linebacker Pete Werner recently underwent ankle surgery, so his return to the Saints squad is not imminent.
The Rams gave up a lot of their draft picks for the next few seasons in order to build up a Super Bowl-winning squad last year. And now, fans are hounding them for the same. A lack of draft picks might not mean a lot when it comes to injuries a squad suffers, but fans are nevertheless blaming the Rams for such calls.

While they may face a similarly performing team this Sunday, it will not be an easy job in any way. The Rams are running short of time to grab themselves a playoff spot. And a defeat here might just be the final nail in their coffin. Will the Rams find a way to sneak by the Saints?
